Empax is looking for a User Experience Designer.
We'll tell you exactly what we mean by that in a moment, but first a few questions. Do you:
- Believe that breakthrough design is a key weapon in any revolution?
- Having already broken them, want to help rewrite the rules of design and social progress?
- Dream of making the world a better place and a decent living at the same time?
- Want work to enhance your soul, not leech it dry?
- Enjoy debating and laughing over lunch with a hodgepodge of creative and free-thinking people?
- Know your way around digital code (though you don't necessarily write it yourself)?
- Consider yourself to be explosively creative?
- Think of yourself as having the common touch to an uncommon degree?
If you've been nodding in assent to all these questions, you should be working here.
A UX Designer at Empax is a digitally hyper-literate person who is obsessed with design. She or he is a genius at listening, and passionate about driving users to more deeply engage with nonprofits and other socially progressive brands. He or she has the genetic mutation that allows them to combine seemingly unrelated information -- transforming it into knowledge and actionable meaning.
Having asked and said all that, this is what you already need to have before starting:
- 2+ years of interactive design
- A fat toolkit that includes Flash, ActionScript, Creative Suite and thorough knowledge of web standards
- Familiarity with conceptual modeling, paper prototyping, user flows and wireframes
- A passion for social progress and tight timelines
Sound good? Then send your stuff right away. We're ready to roll.
